1. Introduction
At BashaBill, we respect your privacy and are committed to giving you full control over your personal data. In accordance with Facebook Platform rules and general privacy standards, we provide users with a transparent way to request the deletion of their accounts and associated personal data.
If you authenticated or logged into BashaBill using Facebook Login or Google Auth and wish to delete your activities, unlink the application, or request complete deletion of your records, please follow the steps outlined below.
2. Facebook Data Deletion Instructions
If you used Facebook to log into BashaBill and wish to revoke the application's access and request deletion of the associated user data, you can do so through your Facebook profile:
- Go to your Facebook Account's Settings & Privacy. Click on Settings.
- Scroll down the left menu and click on Apps and Websites.
- Search for BashaBill in the list of active applications.
- Click the Remove button next to BashaBill.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear. You may check the option to delete all posts, videos, or events BashaBill may have posted (note: BashaBill does not post to your profile). Click Remove again to confirm.
3. Direct Data Deletion Request
Alternatively, you can request that we permanently purge your account and all associated personal records from our databases. To initiate a direct data deletion request:
- Send an email to our operations team at support@bashabill.com.
- Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request - [Your Name].
- Please send the request from the email address registered with your BashaBill account (or specify your registered phone number if using OTP-based logins) so we can verify ownership.
Our security team will review your request and permanently delete your user profile, authentication tokens, contact lists, and any private records within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once the process is complete.
4. Data Retention & Anonymization
Please note that some financial logs (such as the records of service charges you paid to a building committee) are part of a building's shared accounting ledger.
To maintain accurate audit histories and prevent fraud within cooperative building communities, these ledger records (transaction amounts and payment dates) will be retained. However, your personal identifiers (specifically your name, email, phone number, and social profile links) will be entirely scrubbed and anonymized, rendering the records untraceable back to you.
